Join Ali Arkady in this 12-week Level 1 Seminar program that has been specifically adapted to working in a COVID-19 environment. It will equip you with the necessary methodological and practical tools for the research and production of photo essays suitable for publication in an editorial context. You’ll progress from shooting single pictures to constructing short journalistically driven photo essays, exploring the relevant technical, aesthetic, and journalistic aspects. The seminar will also address issues of ideas generation, research, caption writing, and picture editing. In the end, you’ll produce an extended, in-depth body of photojournalistic or documentary work that explores a story in detail.
